How to Send Money to GCash with LBC?

Sending money from the US to a GCash account in the Philippines is easier than you think. Simply follow these steps:

1. Arrange Remit to Account Service

Go to the nearest LBC or remittance partner branch and fill out the Remittance Form. Select “Remit to Account” and write “GCash” as the bank name. Provide the recipient’s personal details and their GCash account number (usually also their mobile number).

2. Submit the Remittance Form

Submit the signed form to the Customer Associate along with the money to be sent to the Philippines and a valid ID.

How long does it take to send money to GCash?

Sending money to GCash typically takes one banking day. 

You don’t need a GCash account to send money the Philippines. However, the receiver must have a GCash account to receive the money. 

You don’t need to claim the remittance. Money sent from the US to a GCash account in the Philippines will be deposited directly into the recipient’s e-wallet. They can use the money right away.

LBC lets you send amounts from PHP 100 up to more than PHP 75,000. However, certain GCash accounts have transaction limits. Be sure to verify the maximum amount the receiver’s account can receive before proceeding with the remittance.

There is no cut-off time. You can send money to any GCash account in the Philippines any time during LBC’s operating hours. Your recipient will receive the money as soon as it’s processed by GCash.

  • Overseas Filipino Workers ID (OFW ID)
  • Overseas Workers Welfare Administration ID (OWWA ID)
