Esquire Movers together LBC Business Solutions recently invaded the south with their debut event, “Lessons in Entrepreneurship from Business Movers,” opening an opportunity for professionals, entrepreneurs, SME owners, startup founders, and industry leaders to move their businesses further and wider. The event was held in Dusit D2 Davao Hotel last October 26, 2019.
RJ Ledesma, the recent winner of LBC’s SME of Year from the 10th Asia CEO Awards, gave his fair share of lessons and takeaways from kickstarting the night food market Mercato Centrale in the Philippines. He encouraged everyone to take note from their mistakes in order to succeed. He also facilitated the afternoon of learning and networking with homegrown entrepreneurs from Mindanao namely Ralph Layco, Carmaela Alcantara, and Vince Arcenas.
Finding the right export was what mobilized Alcantara’s business, Crystal Seas. The handcrafting social enterprise stemmed from the need to represent the beauty of Mindanaoan culture not just in the country but in the world stage as well. This was also Ralph Layco’s calling, to build a Mindanaoan brand and that materialized with his barber-salon Macho Mucho. Arcenas, for his part, thrived on heritage cuisine with Huckleberry Southern Kitchen and Tola.
Chinkee Tan also knowns as Mr. Chink Positive also emphasized the opportunity of maximizing the digital sphere to get the most of their business. The business and wealth coach also zeroed in on innovation and projecting where businesses can adapt. He even shared that since his books were available online, LBC express was able to help reach and deliver these items to his customers not only in the Philippines but to other parts of the world too.
