Setting Up Your Store on Facebook

Step by Step Guide on Facebook Selling
How to Sell on a Facebook Page
-
Set your business goals
Before you set-up your Facebook Business Page, you should establish your business goals and your plans on how you will get there. This includes naming your products, your branding, and the prices of each of your products. Take a look at what your competitors are doing to get an idea of how you should market yourself and what you should do different.

-
Prepare your products
Just like with an e-commerce website, customers are more likely to be attracted to your products if they are presented in an engaging and attractive manner. You don’t necessarily need to hire a product photographer for this, but if you have the extra budget for it, then we recommend you invest in one. Position your products next to a window that receives lots of natural light. You can use different kinds of fabric, cartolina paper, or even gift wrapping paper as your background. Make sure your products are ?awless, so check for any wrinkles, tears, or scratches. -
Creating your Business Page
Log into your personal business account and from there, create a business page for your store. Make sure you include all the necessary information your customers will need including your location, phone number, and prices. Use your logo for the profile picture and add an attractive cover photo. -
Posting on your Facebook Business Page
Use your Facebook Business Page to inform customers of your products, any promos or discounts, and to create engagement with them. To do this, you’ll need to post regularly and engage with your customers as often as possible. Try to post at least 2 4 times a week. You don’t need to post just photos of your products. You can post quotes related to your business or industry, photos of your customers using your products, and the reviews you get. Reply to any comments you receive, good or bad. This is a good chance to learn more about what your customers feel about your products and how to make your business better.
How to Sell on the Facebook Marketplace
-
Post your product information
When you add your product to the Facebook Marketplace, make sure to include as many details as possible. Avoid going with the “PM for more info” trend common these days. This turns off potential buyers. Be as upfront as possible. Include the price, size and/or weight of the product, and expiration date (if applicable). To add your product to the Facebook Marketplace, simply click on the Marketplace button on your Facebook Mobile app or on the Facebook website. From there, click the Sell Something button and select the appropriate category. Then add all the necessary details: images, product description, price, payment methods, and your location.
-
Check your privacy settings
Because the Facebook Marketplace connects you with strangers from all cross the Philippines, you want to double-check your personal Facebook page and make sure you keep your information private to protect yourself and your contacts. Go to “Settings,” then “Privacy.” Click on the padlock icon and use Facebooks privacy settings tool to check if your posts are visible to the right audience.
-
Provide good customer service
There are hundreds of other social sellers on Facebook providing your potential customers with the same products. To stand out, you want to not only make your products attractive, but provide them with good customer service from the very beginning as well. Answer any inquiries you get as soon as possible and consider adjusting your prices if your products aren’t moving as quickly as you’d like them to.
